Literature Text

Peter Pan looked up to the sky, the rain falling onto his face like needles. Why? Why was he alone? He had so many friends. But now they’re gone. A sob worked its way up Peter’s chest. The entire sky seemed to be mourning for Peter. The sky was a dark grey; the only flashes of lightning were the only light on the entire island. The tears that Peter held back broke free and Peter could barley keep himself from screaming from the pain that filled his chest. Why? Why would anyone want to go to a place where you get to grow old and be a grownup where they tell you what you have to do? Peter Pan didn’t understand. Loneliness filled Peter’s body and overcame whatever joy had been in his body. Even the bright green of his clothes seemed dimmed in the rain and dark sky. Peter cried, each sob over wracking his body as thunder crashed his ear drums. Suddenly though, Peter felt angry. He felt a rage greater than when Tinkerbelle almost died from Captain Hook. Peter looked up and his teeth clenched. His face that once held remorse now held something greater. Anger. Peter stood to his feet and clenched his fists till his knuckles were white. He looked towards the Mainland, his anger growing each second. “I will find you! And once I do,” Peter stopped talking for a second to let an angry smirk creep upon his once gentle face. “Once I find you, you will never be able to leave Neverland!” Peter Pan let out a string of evil laughter, his eyes crazed and full of revenge. Yes, the world was mourning. The world was mourning for the gentle and kind Peter Pan who died, and was also mourning for this new Peter Pan, who was now evil and only wanted revenge. No matter how far he had to go to get it.
